Jim Bauman
Jim has lived in the southwest metro area of the Twin Cities most of his life. While working on undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education at University of Minnesota, he met and married his best friend, Jamie. Jim spent seven years as an elementary teacher in Edina and another seven as a principal in Bloomington.
In 1999, Jim sensed that God was nudging him to consider full-time ministry, seemingly narrowing the choices to either work with children as a missionary in Mozambique or as a Children's Pastor in Eden Prairie. Because Jim had attended Wooddale Church since 1985 and began volunteering in the Children's Ministry shortly thereafter, God's direction seemed clear. Jim has joyously served God and the children of Wooddale as Children's Pastor ever since. He and Jamie have three children. Any time spent together as a family is a priority for the Baumans.
Tom Bell
Tom grew up in New Jersey as the son of a pastor. He is the oldest of five children and the only one who has become a pastor. His brothers and sister are all deeply involved in the churches they attend. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The King’s College in New York State, his Master of Divinity degree from Denver Seminary in Colorado and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Bethel Seminary in Minnesota. He has been a pastoral care pastor for nearly 40 years in Colorado, California, South Dakota and Minnesota.
His pastoral care ministry has often included other things like missions, adult ministry, church relocation/building and staff management. One of his joys has been to assist/mentor new church ministries. Thinking strategically about new and different ways to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and expand the Church is one of Tom’s passions.
Tom is married to Carol and he enjoys working around his house and yard as a change of pace.
Geoff Bohleen
Geoff Bohleen has served as the Outreach Pastor at Wooddale Church since 2001. His first exposure to Wooddale Church was in 1982 and he served as an intern from 1983-1986. Geoff then served in churches in Alexandria, MN, Hastings, MN and Akron, OH before returning to Wooddale Church.
Geoff grew up in Ohio and California and graduated from Bethel College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Bethel Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree and Fuller Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
Geoff and his wife, Joni, were married in 1984 and have three young adult children, Abby, Kelsey and Drew. One of their favorite places is the North Carolina beach!

When not in the office, Gary enjoys recreational biking, movies, traveling, connecting with friends, and time with the kids and grandkids. He is an active sports enthusiast, and an avid fan of all teams named Chicago and/or Iowa Hawkeyes.
Julie Faltinson
Julie grew up on a farm in southwest Minnesota. As the oldest of four children she was often the one driving the tractor for Dad. Julie spent her corporate career in the Information Technology department of an insurance company in Owatonna, MN. It was here that Julie made a commitment to become a follower of Jesus Christ. She became involved in a local church on the missions team, traveled on many short-term missions trips and volunteered in student ministries.
In 2002, Julie felt God calling her to a new chapter in her life. This journey brought her to China, Bethel Seminary and finally to Wooddale Church. Julie began her career at Wooddale as a resident intern in Wooddale Worldwide. Throughout the years she has enjoyed mentoring students as they sought to find God's direction for their lives. She now finds great joy in equipping future ministry and mission leaders through Wooddale's Apprentice Program (4th-12th grade students) and the Intern Program (college and seminary students). She also oversees the 30Something singles group.
Julie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from South Dakota State University and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (Global and Contextual Studies Concentration) from Bethel Seminary. She enjoys activities in God’s great outdoors.
Heather Flies
Heather Flies has been ministering in the Wooddale Student Ministries since she joined the staff as the Junior High Associate in 1996. In 1998, she joined the pastoral staff.
Outside the walls of Wooddale Church, Heather spends a great deal of time as a youth communicator. During the school year, she is invited into local junior and senior high schools to present on topics such as: Abstinence, Self-Esteem, Stress, Media Influence, Gender Communication and Peer Pressure. During the summer months, Heather brings the truth to students at various camps, seminars and retreats. Heather is also part of the Youth Specialties CORE training team, instructing and encouraging youth volunteers across the nation.
Heather is a graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul where she majored in Communication. She received her Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary, also in St. Paul.

Jill Fox
Jill was born and raised in the great state of Iowa on a farm that she loves! After high school graduation she decided to head off to Bethel University. After graduating from Bethel, Jill jumped right into Wooddale Student Ministries. During her time in Student Ministries she also began her next degree at Bethel Seminary. After three years she made the transition from Student Ministries to Volunteer Development.
Jill enjoys helping individuals discover their gifts and then connecting them to a great fit volunteering in and outside of the church. There is nothing better than seeing individual lives changed from volunteering or seeing an individual's life changed because of the impact of a volunteer. She says, "It's an amazing job and I get to do it!"
When Jill isn't roaming the halls of Wooddale encouraging volunteers, you can probably find her boating with her husband Paul, talking to anyone, running on her treadmill or organizing her beautiful shoe collection.
Ken Geis
Ken grew up in Oklahoma, but most of his teenage years were spent moving (six times in seven years) from one end of the country to the other. To a large extent these relocations (plus a couple of others after getting married) determined the course of his post-high school educational and ministry training pursuits with bits and pieces being done in California, Minnesota (graduated twice), New Jersey and Connecticut (graduated one more time).
Ken describes his job (Executive Pastor- Program Ministry) as a dream come true and those he leads and serves with as wonderfully gifted, passionately committed and extraordinarily effective.
If you can't find Ken at the office, then you might try his kitchen (loves to cook for his wife, Lisa and two teenage daughters), his yard (loves to meticulously care for and groom turf), the trail (loves to run) or Section 5, Row 36, Seat 24 in Memorial Stadium (yes, that's on the 50 yard line) in Norman, Oklahoma (loves those Sooners)!
