Questions about God?
Wherever you are in life, you are welcome at 30Somethings. 30Somethings
welcomes anyone exploring the big questions: Who is God? Why am I here? How
many paths are there to God? What is this thing the Bible calls “Salvation”?
What happens after I die? It’s OK to have those questions!
Maybe you grew up in a church and your image of “Christian” and “church” is
less than favorable. That’s OK too. Not discounting those past experiences
or current impressions, we invite you to check out 30Somethings with an open
mind, open to a new experience. 30Somethings might surprise you - in a good
way.
What do you think? Would you like to investigate and explore the God of the
Bible in a non-threatening, non-judgmental environment? Would you like to
make new connections, or reach out to others in service? Perhaps you're
simply intrigued by what 30Somethings aspires to be: a Christ-centered
community. If so, great – because wherever you are in this decade of your
life you are welcome to explore and experience – on your own terms -
30Somethings. Really!
OK I’m interested. Now what?
A great way to check out 30Somethings is to attend one of our social outings or outreach projects (see the News and Events page). These monthly events are great ways to make new friends and simply test the waters of 30Somethings. Don’t worry; you won’t find yourself trapped in a church service - and you won’t be asked to convert to anything! What you will find is people a lot like yourself looking to have fun, make friends, or serve those in need.
Want to explore the Bible and connect with others? Sign up for a Small Group Bible Study! You don't need to be a "Christian" to be in a small group! Just bring your questions, an open mind, and a willingness to make new friends.
You could also send us an email. There is always a person from 30Somethings ready take your questions or just chat. If you’d like, they’ll pray for you too! Yep, just send a note to: 30Something@wooddale.org.
A word of encouragement
May God richly bless you as you ask the big questions in life! Keep asking! Ask God for direction. Yes, we do believe Jesus’ bold claim that he is “the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6)." What do you think? Ask God to show you the way.
“Keep on asking (God), and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” - Jesus Christ, Matthew 7:7-8.
May you seek - and find!
