Adults who commit to building relationships with Wooddale youth by being present on a consistent basis at the scheduled Wooddale Student Ministries gatherings. Program Staff are not necessarily involved in the planning or implementing of WSM activities, but they are encouraged to participate in the events. They have high visibility and low responsibility for programs and events, but they are the core of our youth ministry.
Adults and high school students who commit to building relationships and to giving spiritual guidance to Wooddale youth in grades 7-8 in their small groups. Life groups meet twice/month at various times.
Adults and high school students who commit to building relationships and to giving spiritual guidance to Wooddale youth in grade 9 in their small groups. AUG Groups meet 2 hours prior to the AUG session about twice/month.
Adults who commit to building relationships and to giving spiritual guidance to Wooddale high school students in their small groups. Growth groups meet at least twice/month at various times.
Recruits worship team, which includes drama, videos, Scripture readings, and/or music. Plans an appropriate scripture reading, music, video, or drama to go with teaching. Coordinates with youth pastor. Insures all components of worship have leadership and are rehearsed. Coordinates room setup prior to worship service. Reminds worship participants of dates and duties prior to worship service.
Helps with planning and implementation of various ways to support parents of youth.
Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:30 p.m. and/or Sunday mornings 8–11:40a.m. VHS, DVD, Soundboard, Computer and microphone operations. Makes music selections appropriate to event. TRAINING PROVIDED (it’s not that tough) Sunday morning equipment set up and teardown.
Helps maintain WSM website.
Helps put together videos and photos into a presentation to be used at a youth program.
Has a group of students and/or staff in home for a special event.
Lets us use your van, truck, covered trailer, jet ski, swimming pool, ski boat, tent, etc. or contacts for youth activities.
Helps with special mailings by folding, stuffing, and labeling envelopes; performs database entry, copying and other clerical tasks, as needed.
Does the administrative work for a special event.
Registers visitors, receives student registrations for youth activities, helps new students feel welcome, answers questions about WSM, etc.
Is willing to drive a group of students to and from a youth activity. Seat belts are required for every person in car.
Passed bus driver endorsement at license bureau (self study). Drives for special off site events (evening, day, or weekend trips). Picks up and returns bus at garage. Clean driving record required.
Buys or picks up supplies needed for a youth event.
Helps set up stage, sound, lighting, etc.
Helps sign students in as they arrive for a youth activity.
