Wooddale Traditional Choir

The Wooddale Traditional Choir leads worship in the Sunday traditional services and also sings in concerts and special services. Rehearsals are every Wednesday night September through June, 7 – 8:30 p.m.



Wooddale Traditional Instrumental Ensembles

Members of the orchestra and its various ensembles participate in Sunday traditional services, special services and the annual Christmas concerts. Ensembles rehearse Wednesday nights, 6:25 – 8 p.m., before the weekends they are scheduled to play.



Wooddale Contemporary Worship Team

This team is composed of vocalists and instrumentalists who lead the congregation in worship and praise during the contemporary Saturday 5:15 p.m. and Sunday 9, 10:15 & 11:30 a.m. services. Rehearsal is Tuesday night, 6:15 – 9 p.m., before the weekend they sing/play.



Wooddale Contemporary Choir

On selected weekends, the contemporary Worship Choir leads worship in all the contemporary services. Rehersal is Tuesday night, 6:15 p.m. - 9 p.m., before the weekend they sing/play.



Wooddale Sounds of Praise Children’s Choir

Children’s Choirs meet on Sundays, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.. Sounds of Praise consists of three choirs: 1st grade, 2nd – 3rd grades, and 4th – 6th grades. Children learn to sing correctly and to praise God through song. They sing at worship services, in the Christmas Musical, on tours at other churches and retirement centers and in the Spring program. Adult volunteer are always needed. We need directors to teach proper vocal technique and rehearse music to be sung at the worship services; accompanists for each choir and adult helpers to to take attendance, lead choir lines on and off stage, etc. This ministry team meets together regularly and has a very active role in planning and implementing creative ideas for the choir season including work on the Christmas and Spring musicals and even going on Tour). Substitute accompanists and directors (on call) are also needed. 3-4 adults / choir.



Wooddale Drama Ministry

Many worship services include a drama that introduces the pastor’s message. Opportunities exist for actors, writers, directors and others interested in stagecraft. Members of the drama ministry also produce two major events each year: a musical production at Christmas and a dinner theater in the spring.

Theatre in the Woods ministry uses drama to bring biblical truths to life to Wooddale Church’s preschool and elementary school audiences. Encounter teams work to bring biblical truths to life through contemporary vignettes, Bible stories and puppets. Adult and teen volunteers serve as actors, directors, writers, costumers and technical crew. Involvement can be occasional, to fit your schedule, or extended.
