Paul writes from prison, and even with that bleak surrounding, he takes time to rejoice because of Jesus Christ and the hope he brings. He acknowledges that his strength is from God, and that God holds the future in his hand. In Philippians 1:19-20 Paul points to the prayers of others and the Holy Spirit and resources for all Christ followers.. As we pray and allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, we also can find courageous hope. God is magnified in us as we trust him for our past, present and future.
