The Traditional worship service at Wooddale Church is centered on the worship of God. Stirring biblical teaching, dynamic music, compelling dramas and real life stories facilitate the worship experience.
The teaching is centered on the Bible and provides practical applications to life's situations. The messages are inspirational and will encourage and challenge you in your relationship with God, family and friends.
The style of music is a blend of Traditional hymnody, the richness of meaningful worship choruses, and the applicable works of great classical/sacred composers. The singing and worship leadership of the Wooddale Choir, the use of strings, brass, and percussion instruments as needed, and the use of the Wooddale organ complement the musical style. Accomplished musicians perform the music in a professional manner.
Occasionally, thought provoking and entertaining dramas related to the message are presented at the services. These dramas apply the service theme to everyday life situations. Most weeks you will hear from the pulpit a Wooddale attendee tell about how God is working in and through his or her life. These real life stories called "FaithStories" are presented as testimony to all that is being claimed and taught in the services.
The Traditional service worship experience is not only intended to facilitate worship for you during the service time but also to inspire and prepare you in your daily worship throughout the coming week. This service is attended by people of all ages. Most attendees dress in business attire. However, more casual attire including jeans is also quite common.
Traditional services are at 8:30 a.m.in the Eden Prairie campus Worship Center and at 10:30 a.m. in the Edina campus Worship Center.
