Traditional Worship Choir

The Wooddale Church Choir is one of the great traditional church choirs in the Twin Cities area. With over 100 members, the choir ministers to thousands of people through singing in worship services and concerts, including the weekly traditional worship services on two campuses, Christmas At Wooddale concerts, Christmas Candlelight services, the Spring Choral Festival, Easter services, and special periodic outreach concerts. Smaller select groups from the choir also sing at specific services and concerts. The choir sponsors a Spring Choral Festival in which area choirs join the Wooddale Choir for a mass choir concert.

The choir sings a variety of musical styles centered in Christian texts, with a special emphasis on singing sacred traditional choral music. Though style is important, it is the impact of the text framed by the style that mandates the music that is chosen for the choir.

The choir is hardworking! Because of the nature of this ministry, the music standards are always at their highest. Commitment is a major emphasis for choir members.  Though choir members have many things that place demands on their time each week, they are committed in a sacred discipline to the ministry of choral music production at Wooddale Church for the glory of God.
