Visual Arts Ministry

The purpose of the Visual Arts Ministry Team is to honor God in the disciple-making process by using the visual arts to enrich the worship experience, by helping Wooddaler's identify and develop God-given creative abilities through educational opportunities and by encouraging the stewardship of artistic skills.

Some ways you can become involved in the Visual Arts Ministry are by signing up for one of the many studio art classes which will be offered for children and adults. These classes run in both the fall and winter and include landscape art, portrait drawing, quilting and more. There are also several art exhibitions scheduled throughout the year at Wooddale, these shows coordinate with sermon themes to enhance the worship experience. You may enter pieces in one or more of these shows, some show themes have included "Quilting as Art", "The Power of the Holy Spirit", "Visualizing Easter", "Missions" and "Christmas". You may also be interested in signing up for one of the seminars offered to explore the connection between art and the Christian faith.

This ministry seeks to provide avenues for the Wooddale community to use the visual arts to respond to God in worship and praise and to reach out to our community by using the visual arts as a medium.
