The Book of Hebrews is one of only three books in the New Testament explicitly addressed to Jewish Christians (the other two: Matthew and James). For many Christians, it is a mysterious and difficult book. Understanding its message requires a great familiarity with the Old Testament, as well as with the Judaism of the time of Jesus and the Apostles. No one knows who wrote it, yet it circulated with the letters of Paul from the end of the first century. The focus is on Jesus our High Priest, and on the need to stand firm in our faith. Come and learn about this fascinating part of God's Word to us. Be challenged as were the first recipients and hear the Spirit's call to a closer walk with the Author and Perfecter of our faith.
